What is PAT testing?

What is PAT testing?

Untitled design.png

Portable Appliance Testing or PAT Testing is the process of checking electrical appliances for safety through a series of visual inspections and electronic tests. The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 (EAWR) places certain requirements on employers, designed to manage risks that can arise from the use of electronic appliances. The best way of ensuring that your appliances are safe is to have a PAT test carried out on them. This is often required by landlords and insurance companies to ensure that businesses are meeting their legal obligations to maintain high standards of electrical safety.

Performance, Immersive & Escape Rooms

Performance and immersive venues operate differently from conventional work environments. For example, the proper placement of props is crucial, and any modifications made for testing purposes must be reversed before audience engagement.

Drawing upon my expertise and adaptability, I am equipped to handle the unique challenges of testing in a performance venue and am willing to accommodate your operational hours.
